Welcome!

Thank you for checking out my blog and I hope you will enjoy your stay here! Be sure to come back as more content will be updated throughout the month!

My name is Kevin Wu and I will be a senior at Piedmont High School. Being a Bank of America student Leader was a great experience where I was able to work with Junior Achievement of Northern California, a non-profit organization that teaches financial literacy. The biggest highlight of this internship was the Leadership Summit in Washington D.C. where we were able to network and meet with other like-minded individuals who had the same desire to serve, inspire, and change the world!

Hello and thank you for checking out the blog! My name is Olivia Lucas, and I am a Senior at Head-Royce School in Oakland. This summer, I was blessed with the opportunity to intern with Junior Achievement through the Bank of America Student Leaders Program. Since I’m very interested in community service and social entrepreneurship, the Junior Achievement internship was a great fit for me and allowed me to further explore my potential and abilities in each of these areas. My participation in other extracurricular activities such as the Oakland Youth Advisory Commission, Alameda County Youth Leadership Academy, and Centerforce Youth Court have nurtured my interest in politics and law, encouraging me to pursue a career as a lawyer or government official. Following on this path, I plan to study Political Science, International Relations, and Business in college. Aside from academics and extracurricular, I also enjoy listening to R&B and hip-hop music, writing poetry, and spending time outdoors with my family and my dog.

Hi, my name is Jason Aldridge! I just graduated from Leadership Public School Hayward, and will be attending San Jose State University this fall. #ClassOf2017! I plan on studying Civil Engineering as I love creating and building my own (structural) things. I enjoy hanging out with friends, being involved in the community, and participating in school led events. I hope to become an engineer one day and to continue making a difference in my community. Being a Bank of America student Leader was a great experience where I was able to work with Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization that teaches financial literacy. The biggest highlight of this internship was the Leadership Summit in Washington D.C. where we were able to network and meet with others individuals who want to serve-inspire-change in the world. Another important highlight of the internship was going to many different Job Shadows through Junior Achievement, such as with the San Francisco Giants! (My favorite baseball team!) Overall, I enjoyed this internship where I have been able to gain lifelong friends and an opened door to new opportunities.

Hi everybody! My name’s Anina and I’m currently a Bank of America Leader, interning at an educational nonprofit called Junior Achievement. This fall, I will be attending the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a major in economics and possible concentrations in healthcare management, risk and insurance management, or marketing/communications. Some of my favorite things to do are golfing, tutoring, and watching quality TV shows like Homeland, Arrested Development, and Psych.

Hi everyone! I’m a rising senior at California High, where I’m looking forward to being Senior Class Vice President. My academic interests include medicine, health and public policy, and marketing. In my free time I enjoy snowboarding, running, and watching my favorite Bay Area teams, particularly the Giants and the 49ers. I have a strange passion for country music and a more rational love for Homeland, Friday Night Lights, and Nashville. After college I hope to pursue a career in . . . actually, I’m not quite sure yet. I plan on discovering new interests and expanding my horizons during my last year of high school, college, and life in general. I have truly enjoyed bonding with the other interns this summer, and will stay in touch with them because they are my idols, mentors, and the people I aspire to be one day.

Hello!
Greetings from the Bay Area! In SF we spent a lovely day touring Del Monte, enjoying the Bay, and visiting Univision.
